  • Waiting time??

    Hi there.

Still waiting for my Green Card!

I'm married to a US citizen. Marriage was on Jun 2018.
We filed the papers on Oct 2018.
I got my ssc and Working authorization card on May 2019.
We have been on the Interview on July 2019. They sit us separate during the interview but all went very good...even the officer said we did good.
Since than they asked us more proof by letter on May 2020.
I had to renew my working auth. 02/ 2021 once again.
    Still nothing.
We are both working ( union job) , living together , fling a tax together , have insurance together joint accounts , bills etc..
No answers-response from immigration. Cant reach them on the phone either, due the covid situation. I have a immigration lawyer ..he contacted them but all they said to him ..its still in process and they are reviewing my case. That was in January 2021.
I don't know what should we do? Were to go who to call in order to pick up my case and do something!?
    Any suggestions?

Thank You and have a great day,

That's the government for you. Have you ever gone to the local courthouse or registration office to renew your license or tags? That's the pace they all work at. High paying jobs, bad attitudes, low tolerance.

Wow, please disregard this. The person must either not have had experience working in the public sector or have a skewed view of public sector jobs. From my experience, working in the government was anxiety triggers. We were constantly under pressure. We had to follow changing regulations, policies, and procedures. On top of the constant onlooking eyes from the public, we sometimes also had to bend to political whims from the governor, chairs, directors, and other higher ups. The worst part? We were always under the threat of budget cuts every other year. High-paying jobs? We were lucky if we could get a raise matching inflation rate. So forget about getting free coffee for the entire office that costs only $100/month, let alone acquiring tools and investments that would boost productivity and output.

OP, take an advice from the other poster. Contact your local senator/representative. They'd be able to inquire USCIS better than a lawyer could.
