  • Deliverd RFE response to National benefits Center

    Hello Everyone,

I sent my RFE response to the National Benefits Center on Thursday 08/12/2010 to the same address as it shown on the RFE letter:

    U.S. Department of Homeland Security
    P.O. Box 648005
    Lee's Summit, MO 64002

I was tracking the delivery on USPS site and that what I saw today:

We attempted to deliver your item at 9:38 am on August 14, 2010 in LEES SUMMIT, MO 64002 and a notice was left. You may pick up the item at the Post Office indicated on the notice, go to www.usps.com/redelivery, or call 800-ASK-USPS to arrange for redelivery. If this item is unclaimed after 15 days then it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

    Detailed Results:

Notice Left, August 14, 2010, 9:38 am, LEES SUMMIT, MO 64002
Sorting Complete, August 14, 2010, 7:51 am, LEES SUMMIT, MO 64081
Arrival at Unit, August 14, 2010, 4:58 am, LEES SUMMIT, MO 64081
Processed through Sort Facility, August 13, 2010, 9:56 pm, KANSAS CITY, KS 66106
Processed through Sort Facility, August 12, 2010, 8:46 pm, JACKSONVILLE, FL 32203
Acceptance, August 12, 2010, 10:52 am, DAYTONA BEACH, FL 32114

Does it make sense that if you deliver for a P.O. box they will leave a notice?\
does anyone here experience the same problem? will USCIS will go and pick up the package or I need to do something about it?

    Thanks,

Did you use USPS express mail? If you did, when you fill the express label, there is a spot where you waive receivers signature. If you did not check it, they will not deliver till someone signs for it. I guess August 14th being a Saturday, their offices might have been closed.
I would call the USPS number first thing Monday and confirm if they are going to re-attempt a delivery, chances are they will.
    Good Luck

        Mail to NBC

Hello, please don't worry yourself, it will be deliver the first business day to NBC. This is the usual practice of USPS for registered mails( piority and express).
The message or notice was placed in the PO BOX of USCIS/NBC, usually there is an officer that picks mail up once per day and as soon as he sees the notice left in the box, he will approach the desk and sign for all the registered mails, yours' inclusive.
Check or track your delivery on USPS website by 08/17/2010 after 6.00pm your mail should have been delivered.
        Thanks.
