I-130 and I-485 forms for spouse and children live overseas

Hello House, I am PR holder and filling for my spouse and children who live abroad . I have filled I-130 online for each of them . Do i still need to fill form I-485 for them and mail it together with necessary documents ? Or wait for form I-130 to be approved ? I await reply . Thanks Guyz

I-485 can only be used if the person is in the USA. For spouse/children living abroad, you will need to do consular processing.

Enub4 .. Thanks. I have already filled out form I-130 & I-130A online for them . I just want to be very sure . That means i am good for now.

Unless you are going to become a citizen soon, or your children are over 21, there was no need for you to petition your children separately; they can immigrate as derivative beneficiaries of your spouse.

newacct I will become a citizen next year 2022 and my children is under 21 . The children age are 13,10 and 3 and i filled form I-130 for each . I hope i did the right thing. thanks for ur response
