I'm hoping for some news, but so far nothing. I'm seeing these people submitting after me, having RFEs (which no doubt delay things while waiting for a response) and getting an approval status before me...it's been 7 months since my I-485 case was changed to 'Fingerprints were taken"...7 months and nothing has changed...in 1 week it will have been a year since it was submitted. Their rules and processes make no sense at all...just no pattern to it.

I believe your case is stuck with a USCIS service center instead of a field office or NBC. If you notice, all the cases which get approved sooner are from NBC or field office. I believe you are just unfortunate to get your case transferred to another USCIS service center. I'm another unfortunate soul like you whose case files are stuck in Nebraska with no progress.

I happened to notice from another forums. It seems people who have filed between Oct 2020 to Dec 2020 are getting decision from Nebraska. I hope April- May filers should hear back around by March atleast.

The ironic thing is that my application was originally sent to Phoenix because that's where USCIS says to file for EB1C with approved I-140. However, they transferred to Nebraska "...in order to speed up processing..."

What I see in your case is interesting because I being a manager myself have seen EB1C for my reporting managers to be filed in National Benefits Center after their I140 was filed with Nebraska. In some cases the I140 was still pending and in other cases it was already approved. In my case also, my 485 was filed with National Benefits center and then got transferred to Nebraska. Anyways, now I believe the only option for you is to hope that Nebraska picks up and processes your case quickly. Good luck.

                      • HI Everyone,
Our marriage based interview was today and we got approved on the spot! Status updated to new card being produced 2 hours after the interview.
We interviewed in Tampa, FL office.
With our original submission we included all the evidence such as, joint apartment lease, USPS informed delivery, electricity, internet, phone bills, joint checking account, joint credit card accounts, joint tax return, joint costco, aarp, aaa memberships, social media presence, a lot of photos, cards from family and friend for holidays and of course all the civil documents. I had organized everything very neatly with table of contest and exhibits with explanation of what is what and what does it proof.

                        The interview:
We were scheduled for 11;45, arrived 11:15, did not get to the interview until almost 1pm so we waited more than an hour. When we walked in the office swear us right away, then asked us to seat. The she asked for ID's and passports. Then she said she is going to start verifying information on form I 30 and proceed to verify address, names, work etc. with my husband( basically verifying the info from the application). Then she proceeded with I 485 application and verified the same plus all the yes and no questions. Then she asked How did we meet? My husband answered. Then she asked was there a proposal - my husband answered. That was it! Then she said I have everything I need to make a decision today! I showed her another folder with additional and updated documents and asked her if she needs anything from there she said no, I showed her our album which included family photos and wedding photos and ask her if she wants to see or take any photos and she said no - you already submitted a lot and I don't need anything else. She then said she will make a decision today and 2 hours later status changed to approved.
It was so easy and unbelievably quick. I spend days putting new evidence together and had photos from our formal wedding reception and family holidays, cards and so much more staff and she didn't even looked at anything.

Let me know if you have any questions! Good luck everyone!
