L1 and L2 applied. Unfortunately L2 approval and after that EAD approval is time consuming.

For AOS, finger printing is not done. So can’t expedite EAD.

Did anyone else got fingerprint done?

Are you filing a new I140 based on the priority date from an earlier approved I140?

This is initial I-140 app, concurrently filed with I-485. Why?

Sorry, I assumed you were from India and hence the question as the EB-2 dates for India are not current so unless you already have an approved with an approved I-140, you wouldn't be able to file for AOS.

This wait of 90+ days and counting is so frustrating just to receive the biometrics. no idea how USCIS operates and taking a long time.

              May 10, 2021: Applicant Sent to Chicago (Concurrent for parent: I-130, I-485, I-864, G-325A, I-765 and I-131).
May 11, 2021: Application delivered. (Signed for by: J.CHYBA)
              May 30, 2011: 4 Text message with receipt numbers for I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131
              June 2, 2021: Checks cached ($1225 for I-485 and $535 for I-130).
June 4, 2021: Received NOA in mail.
July 6, 2021: Online status for I-485 changed to "RFE sent"
July 12, 2021: RFE received in mail for I-864
July 13, 2021: RFS responded via Fedex
July 14, 2021: Online Status for I-485 changed to "Response to RFE was received".

no movement whatsoever after that.... Went on to emma to ask once and they said to wait 60 days from July 14. Need to wait till Sep 14th. This is crazy.

I got my Biometrics/Fingerprints done 2 weeks ago, but when I check the status online it still doesn't show up as applied to my case.
None of my online statuses have been updated since the initial "we received your application. I filed paper. Not sure if that might be a reason why I don't see changes online.

                Edit for my details:

Same Sex Couple (LPR filing for F1 spouse / LPR has since naturalized)

05/05 Package filed (concurrent based on availability)
05/07 USCIS received documents (Priority Date)
                05/26 fingerprint fee (I-485) received
05/27 Text messages with receipt numbers
                06/01 NoA (I-797) for I-131, I-485, and I-765 received
7/10 Letter with Biometrics Appointment for 7/27
[06/08 LPR had naturalization interview, Oath Ceremony 7/16]
[7/22 letter sent to request case upgrade to citizen spouse; delivered 7/26)

What is the RFE for? I am not sure why you feel frustrated as there has been significant movement on your case since you filed. If the RFE is for medicals, then I would assume that biometrics was skipped as they were able to re use the biometrics information they already had in file for you for the background verification. If this was the case, ideally your 485 status should change to approved in another 3-4 weeks with the card dispatched within a week after that. All the best..!

I like your optimism my friend but what I have heard is biometrics are only skipped for spouse (where they did F1 related biometric earlier etc etc). I filed for my mother and there was no prior biometric taken as we are filing her GC for the very first time. Bottomline there is no way to skip biometrics.

The RFE was related to some "missing information that I may have forgotten to fill in I-864 and left blank". I still cant believe I made that mistake because I checked each forms 10 times but then here we are.

The only reason I am frustrated is because I have seen in other forums people getting biometrics within 2 months for parents related GC. Also my mom has to go India in December and I am feared she wont get EAD/AP before then. I am in no hurry of GC but definitely want EAD/AP by November so she can plan for India trip in December (its medical related)

I guess I need to stop watching forums for a month and just wait patiently. when the time will come, it will come

Hear ya. Ya from a country where the priority date is current. All relative, but a lot of waiting involved in general. Good luck.
