Do I really need a job?

Let me preface this with I really HATE MY JOB!

we filed my husbands I485 in Oct 2020 along with I131 1765 I130. I am USC

we got notification of case received on Nov 4

My husband has worked over 18 years in the US not consecutively but accumulated about 13 years total time. He makes way above NPL. he has worked with the same company for 30 years

In Feb we were notified of Evidence needed and sent in our 2020 tax return

so far we haven’t heard anything else

i am apparently the sponsor, so if I quit this crazy job is it going to mess everything up?
shouldn’t we have had an update so far?
I am so frustrated

If your husband has earned more than 40 quarters (basically, 10 years) of Social Security credits, including credits you (his spouse) earned during the period of marriage, then he shouldn't need an I-864 Affidavit of Support. On his I-485 did he (on the old 10/15/19 edition that he probably used back in 2020) check the box in Part 8 #62a ("I have earned or can receive credit for 40 qualifying quarters (credits) of work in the United States ..."), or (on the current edition) file I-864W?

And, in any case, even if he did need an I-864, his income can be counted in your household income since he is your spouse. So even in that case, you would still not need a job.
