Concurrent i140 and i485 under eb1c

I am starting to file my application for green card under eb1c category. I understand the priority dates are current and wanted to file both i140 and i485 at the same time. My lawyer is discouraging this as there could be loss of money if i140 gets denied. I have recently got my L1a extension approved and also have a valid visa stamp until dec 2022. Besides $3k risk any other things to worry?

Could you please provide me with your views?

Besides financial loss, I am not aware of any other risk. But it will be faster if your I-140 gets approved.
