Passport expiring in 5 months - 485 and 765 pending .

Hi,

I applied 485,765 application in Jan-2021 along with my wife's 485,765 as dependent.
My wife's passport is expiring in Feb-2022 . I am not sure if i will be getting 765 or 485 approved before that time frame .

My question is can i go head and apply for passport extension in the coming month ?
1) What will happen after 765 is approved ? is it linked to passport ? Should i reapply after getting the new passport ?
2) Should i need to notify USCIS after getting my wife's new passport if both 765 and 485 are pending ?
3) Does Green card or 765 have the passport number linked ?

So i don't have to take any new action after passport renewal , just hold the new passport and old passport with me . Rite.
