I'm not an expert but I think there is a risk to start AOS while the I-130 was sent when she was in another country. They may suspect that she entered the USA with the intention to immigrate and they can deny the I-485.

Hi there, hope all is well.

I filed a I-130 for my mom who was in the Philippines back in November 2020. It was received and still processing to this date.

My mom came here about two months ago on a tourist visa. She and I would like to make an AOS for her to stay and continue the process here. Is this possible? Do I have to file another I-130 or just the I-485? And will the date received of November 2020 be reset if I filed for her AOS here?

Hi, I do not think there is an issue here. I would go ahead and file the I-485 and make sure to include a copy of the NOA for the I-130. There are other forms you need. Make sure to research that. In essence, there is no issue. Your mother may even get the green card by mail and without an interview.
