    Hi guys:

    (1) Why is the AOS application processing so massively backlogged recently?

    (2) Below is my timeline so far. What's a conservative estimate of how long the remaining process may take? I have been getting unhelpful response from my lawyers.

    Priority Date: November, 2019
    AOS Filed: November, 2020
    Receipts Received: March, 2021
    Biometrics Appointment: May, 2021

    (1) USCIS offices were closed for biometrics and interviews for ~6 months during COVID. This was compounded by a large influx of applications due to a proposed fee bump and a shortage of funding to properly staff the USCIS.

      (2) nobody knows how long it will take. The processing times for California Service Center are between 9 and 55 months.

I'm with Texas Service Center, I was able to do an inquiry 8 months ago when the times were between 9 and 24.5 months. Then a month ago when the dates were between 12 and 30 months. Today the estimates are between 19 and 50 months.
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021
