I parents were called for the immigration based interview on Monday. We went in. My mom's passprt got stamped. Then came my dad's turn, when the officer opened the sealed medical report. Shocked were we as wel as the officer that the doc. who was suppose to fill up the forms had not doen his job. The forms were incomplete. Realizing this, the officer called my mom, and undid the stamp on my mom's passport and asked them to get re-vaccined etc, ($300 per parent), and then send it in again. Then the INS will send an approaval and after that they'll be called in again to stamp the passport...
In a nut shell, choose your doc wisely. Although, we thought that (about 3.5 years ago) when my parents got their medical done (in Houston) everthing went fine, there are people out there who do not do their job... I have a mind to finds that doc and take hime to court...
Also, does anyone have any experience with a similar problem. Any idea how lon does it take for the INS to send an approaval after receiving the re-submitted medical forms. Any pointers will be very helpful.
