You know, I believe I called USCIS for some other reasons and it came up in conversation with the Tier 2 agent that the background checks had already been completed. There is no benefit to calling to ask that. There is also no way to rush pro expedite background checks. They run 5 different checks and no one really knows what they are.

Same timeline and FO as OP, waiting for Interview Notice as well.
Just wanted to add: our Biometric appointment was March 18, 2020! The day USCIS closed its doors.
Somehow, I made my wife do walk into ASC a week before ( March 11), so it worked! Thanks to this site: people chatting about just walking into ASC!
Otherwise, EAD, SSN, and an Interview would be delayed greatly!
Update 07.07.21: Interview scheduled on 08.02.21, month apart from e-mail notification.
