Conditions for EAD/AP expedite request

Hi,

I've got my biometrics done, and now waiting for EAD/AP. I read here that people have got their EAD/AP expedited. Can somebody share the situations in which we could ask to expedite the EAD/AP? I am currently working on cap-exempt H1B at a university. However, I would like to switch to industry which can be done with EAD, which is easiest path for me as of now.

You can place a request to expedite your EAD/AP if you have a job offer.
