  • NOID for I-130 Slows Down I-765

Hi everyone, so recently, I have received a NOID for my I-130. My I-130 is filled concurrently with I-465 and I-765. However, I am currently renewing my I-765 (EAD card). My question is whether the NOID would slow down the processing of I-765 renewal
I have contacted the USCIS twice and all they said is to wait until the decision for I-765 to know

Sorry for the NOID. This is the first time I read a NOID for I-130. We may never know if that stops/slows down the process for I-765 renewal because some renewals are taking 10 or more months.

I sent my renewal 6.5 months ago and no news. Only 2 months until my 180 days are up. I read another person's renewal didn't happen for 10 months and the 180 days extension expired without approval. Good luck to all renewing EAD.
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021

Your I-130 (being the Immediate Relative of a US citizen) is the foundation for all your other forms. Yes, USCIS probably will not move forward with your other forms until you respond to NOID and resolve it. I would do it asap. What is the NOID for?

Thank you for the response! The NOID was issued for my I-130 form due to issues with the authenticity of my evidence. I have contacted my attorney and they are working to resolve it. I hope that they would send the response soon.
Like you said, the other forms might be affected by this. However, I talked to a USCIS tier 1 agent on Emma chat and they told me that the NOID only pauses that one particular application. However, I don't know if I should believe that.

Like I mentioned, your I-130 is the basis for everything else. If they have concerns on the authenticity of the evidence, then it would make sense that it would pause everything else.
Do not forget that tier 1 and tier 2 agents are not USCIS officers. They are contractors in a call center environment providing information on behalf of USCIS. I would take that with a grain of salt.
Hope it all works out for you.
