485 approved at interview but no update 3 weeks later

My wife and I attended our interview 3 weeks ago tomorrow and the agent clearly stated he would be approving our case today. We didnt have him stamp the passport etc because he said the card etc will be arriving shortly. So based on others experiences we were expecting her card in about a week and have been checking the mail non stop. I have been looking for updates on the the webpage and nothing. So today I use live chat and they say it has not been approved and is still processing. We have a coworker in the same exact situation who had their interview the day before ours at the same location and got their card in a week. So here we are in limbo once again through this process, waiting to apply for jobs etc and can't get any kind of answer. Is there anything we should should be worried about or is this just another case of having patience? You can't contact the local office right? Thank you for any advice!

I have read several cases like yours in the forum. The officer said they will approve that day and then it takes several weeks for the status to change and the card to be mailed. I think your only option is to wait. If it takes months, then maybe you can do an inquiry. I hope you get the GC soon. Good luck.

Thank you... I did try to read through multiple posts but each I pulled up indicated that quick turnaround once approved. You have spent much more time on here than I and I very much appreciate your post!
