    I-485 Vs. Consular Processing

    My I-140 has been approved and my documents have been sent to Chennai Consulate. Can I apply for a I-485 here in US ?

    yes you can, but you are supposed to choice one and not to go after both AOS and CP. INS issued some time ago a memo about that.

      Thanks for the reply. If my papers have gone to the consulate, how do I go about choosing the AOS route ?
