Ex Foreign Military Member applying for I-485

I am a naturalized citizen and applied for my parents for AOS while they were in the US. We had our interview today and the immigration officer did not give us a definite answer if my parents got the green card or not. He said he has to send our application to their lawyers for review because both of my parents were in the military. He said to expect an answer within 30 to 60 days. My parents are from Albania. They stopped working in the albanian army back in end of 2005. Has anybody had a similar experience? Please help!
