Any April/May 2021 filers waiting for Biometrics (IR concurrent filing for parent)

Not sure to any of these! I m just going to tell them I have been waiting for a while and want to speed up the process. If it works it works. Mine is not that far anyway ! I am planning to go wed or thursday! I will let you know!

I have seen situations where people have successfully gone early and get the biometrics done (as long as you have the letter) . I live only 20 min away so I plan to go and see if I can. I am not sure if its going to work, but I will try!

1. Do you plan to walk-in or call them before going? when do you plan to go. curious to see how it goes. I know end of the day it all depends on the local ASC office. some allow some doesn't.
2. Its 50/50 for walk-in. Just wondering what reason you plan to give if they ask. its good to have some strong reason in case they ask why early
3. If you manage to sneak-in the walk in, do you have to go again on the actual appointment day Sep 20. just wondering how it works as long as it doesn't get reported as "no show" on real appointment day.

I am also planning to attempt walk-in on Wed or Thursday as its just 15 mins from my place.

I do not know if i am posting this message at the right forum. Please pardon me if it is not the right place.

Below is my question:

I have 10 years green card. Is it possible for me to file for my kids with ages of 15,13,8 years respectively. I brought them with me to USA 5 years ago. I could not file for them due to lack of finance when i did my adjustment of status.
For medical and paperwork they need SSN.I do not know if there is any way i can use my status of 10 years green card to file, for them to atleast have SSN first .

I am hoping to receive the notice for bio by end of the next week. I also don't see any update on my case online. maybe this is normal. I am hoping the emma agent is correct

Finally received biometrics apt after a long wait for Sep 23rd. (Location: Lawrence, MA)

May 10, 2021: Applicant Sent to Chicago (Concurrent for parent: I-130, I-485, I-864, G-325A, I-765 and I-131).
May 11, 2021: Application delivered. (Signed for by: J.CHYBA)
May 30, 2011: 4 Text message with receipt numbers for I-130, I-485, I-765 and I-131
June 2, 2021: Checks cached ($1225 for I-485 and $535 for I-130).
June 4, 2021: Received NOA in mail.
July 6, 2021: Online status for I-485 changed to "RFE sent"
July 12, 2021: RFE received in mail for I-864
July 13, 2021: RFS responded via Fedex
July 14, 2021: Online Status for I-485 changed to "Response to RFE was received".
Sep 4, 2021: Received noticed in mail for biometrics appointment Sep 23rd.

Talk to emma today. Finally they said apt is scheduled for sep 23. They didnt mention if the letter was mailed or not but said i need to wait 7-10 days to receive notice.

I just got off from a call with USCIS and still nothing for me. Where are you filing?

myself and mattman@ we do not have the biometrics scheduled yet and its almost 4 months now.

I just talked to someone on Reddit from the same field office with me, she applied 2 days later than me, she got her bio 1 week earlier than me and then she had her interview in mid August. All that with no expedite requests. So I guess this is all relative..
