Is there anything someone can do if their Priority Date is current ??

Hi,

I am an EB2, my I140 is approved, we have applied for I485 in July 2007, did not get any RFE, got our finger printing done and my priority date is current. In other words technically we are all set !

Based on priority date being current and all of the above I should have got the I485 Approval already. It is already more than 15 days over in September 2010. From what I heard from people who already received their approval, it normally is issued within the first 1 or 2 weeks of being current.

Just wondering if there anyone else in a similar situation ? Is there something someone can do in this situation ? Can we call USCIS and ask the status ? OR do something else, etc.

There is nothing you need to do.

Many times, the cases are handled out of order also, among those whose priority dates are current.

Therefore, just wait to hear back from them.

Did you get your second FP notice? If not, your FP has expired and your GC will get approved only after they send you a new FP notice. SOme people have gotten approved without this but that is abnormal.

Is the second FP notice required ??

I heard from people that it is not !

I may be wrong on that.
