early biometrics successful but No update after biometrics

Hi guys,
My bio letter was for Sept.20th but I was able to go and get them done early ( i think it was just luck). My I 485 online immediately updated and a day later showed ready to schedule an interview, however my I 765 have not updated and its still under case received. I know it could take awhile for the interview and in some cases even after the interview it takes time to get the green card, so I was hoping I can at least receive the work authorization as everyone know it just sucks not working when you need it. Anyway I was just looking for feedback if this is normal, how long does it take or should I consider reaching out to them and seek an update? Has anybody experienced this situation?

Our case only updated the I485 too, so I think this is normal.
As long as I485 is updated you are good.
Seeing that the update says 'ready to schedule an interview' maybe you will never get an EAD. You may try to expedite your EAD if you have a good reason (and enough evidence).

Great! Thats good to hear! I am not sure if i qualify for expedited EAD unfortunately!

I did a walk in today and they let me do my biometrics straight away. There was no problem at all and I was actually the only one in there getting it done so there was no waiting at all! Just checked online and both 485 & 765 show finger prints have been taken. Standing by for the next step!

It sounds like we’re on a very similar time line.
I have applied for expedited Travel document which shows on the system but they wouldn’t authorize until I had biometrics done.

we finished the fingerprinting for my mother today 09/20 and at the end of the day, online status for 485 and 765 both show "As of September 20, 2021, fingerprints relating to your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number YYYY ZZZ have been applied to your case"

Just wondering did your status change to this step or did it directly went to "Ready to schedule for interview"

not sure what is the difference between these two.

just wondering what is the procedure to apply for expedite EAD/AP combo document. I am in no hurry for GC for my mother but need AP as she needs to travel india for medial treatment related by the end of December.

Not sure if we need to provide any justification for expedite request?

I’m using an attorney and he just submitted a request to USCIS, it’s not come through yet but I’m hopeful!!!

It looks like it really depends on the location ,but you can always try. You do need to have your biometrics appointment letter.

Yes, by the time I got from the biometrics appt it was updated to show finger prints have been taken.

My I 485 never updated to fingerprint taken! It jsut went to ready to schedule interview a few afters after they took my biometrics. However my I 765 still not update. Its definitely weird
