Request help with birth certificate to be submitted

1. My birth certificate dos not have my name. It mentions "Name not registered". When checked with local authority, original SSLC book is required to be presented at municipal office to update name. My originals are all with me in USA. Has anyone done this remotely.
2. If there are no other options, planning to send original SSLC book to Kerala. What is the safe option for sending documents -UPS/Fedex?
3. Birth certificate does not have surname for parents, just the initial. eg Tom H instead of Tom Hanks. Is this ok or should that also be corrected? Even the SSLC certificate have just the initials, so cannot submit that as secondary proof.

Kerala birth certificate can be got online. Is it same online too?
we had few issues instead of getting BC corrected, my parents gave affidavit. We just submitted that.

• If there are no other options, planning to send original SSLC book to Kerala. What is the safe option for sending documents -UPS/Fedex? --> Both are equally good. maybe you can include some insurance portion.

So it will look nice and clean. You can provide that as backup.
