i-485 interview (US Citizen was living abroad and the non-Citizen was in the US)

I went to study abroad for the last six months where cost of living and tuition are low. My spouse stayed in the US. I'm trying to make a career change and earn more since we are starting a new life together, and she was unable to leave the US (and also didn't want to).

I'm assuming this will seem odd to the interviewer. I'm wondering what I can expect.
