Got Advance Parole. Should I not leave the country in case an interview comes up?

I filed adjustment of status through marriage in August. Did my biometrics early September. Two days ago I received the Advance Parole and couldn't be happier because I need this to go back to my country to prepare for a second wedding ceremony. My big family back home are all so excited and rush me to return asap.

Since AP is the only thing I have got so far, I suppose there will be an interview coming up before they approve my aos? Can anyone tell me how many months after filing i-485 will an interview be scheduled? Actually, is there an interview for every case?

My country is at the other side of the globe. It's not easy to just fly back to the US next day when I receive an interview notice. What are your suggestions? Should I wait until I have an interview?

99% of the time.

If you are a K1, then you have a good chance of not having an interview. But you won't know that until you get notice of transfer to California Service Center. I would say over half the K1s don't interview. How long it takes to get an interview can depend on how busy your local office is.

I applied for my GC in August. I did not apply for AP but for my EAD. I already received my GC interview-10/26/10 but I haven't received my EAD

In that case my AP is useless. When I applied in August, I really thought I was gonna go back to my home country as soon as I got AP. Turns out to be more complicated than that. Now I have to keep everybody waiting for my wedding for another few months.

Yes because if you leave before you are approved for AOS it would mean that you have forfeited your status and I know what you mean about AP.

I don't think so. AP is issued so you can leave the country and come back any time without aos approval. All I am saying is that there can be things happen before an interview or more requests from the uscis at/after the interview. If what you said stands, then why would anyone apply for Advance Parole along with i-485?

I still get confused with this as well but my understanding on Ap is you are right to be able to leave before AOS I just know from reading it is no longer than 1 year. I think you are right it is for cases that can occur before AOS is approved. I remember now from cases on here it is where you cant stay away before your 2 years is up on GC then that's where they say you would be forfeiting your GC status.
Lets hope you can get an answer soon. I am applying for an AP don't really need one but just in case my husband gets deployed for work with the Military.
