Can I move to GC EAD from L1A visa?

Hi, I've received GC EAD recently for me and for my kids except my dependent spouse who is on L2 EAD. And my L1 visa is expiring in Feb '22 and I need to renew for me and my all L2 dependents. My employer is suggesting to move to GC EAD instead of renewing L1 visa. And I heard from few that its not advisable to move to EAD till GC comes when L1 can be renewed.

Looking for inputs and experiences who've gone through ?
Will it affect my dependent partner's work / immigration status.

Hi Member,
As per my knowledge, it is really advisable to maintain your Non-immigrant status until you get I-485 petition approved.. It will surely helpful, when you go for travelling or in case of I-485 petition denial.
These are the precautions. If you are sure, you will be good with I-485 petition then you can move forward and convert your current status.
