  • Concurrent filing - Form I-130 and I-485

    Hello everyone,

We're completing Form I-130 and I-130A and would appreciate your help on some questions. We're hoping to do an AOS (from B2), as we recently got married

    Form I-130:
    1. Beneficiary Physical Address: Do I still put my home country's address or should I put my husband and I current residence?

    Form I-130A
    1. Address History: In the form, it asks for the current address. Is it safe and ok to put the address where my husband and I currently live? I am a bit confused as technically my home country's address is still my permanent address, no? Or does it change because I got married?

    Form I-485
    - Since we are doing an online Form I-130, do we just wait for the receipt confirmation and include this when we mail Form I-485?

    Thank you

    Hi Member,
    Please see my response below.
Note: I am sharing my knowledge on this question. For case specific, Kindly contact Immigration Attorney.
    Form I-130:
    1. Beneficiary Physical Address: Do I still put my home country's address or should I put my husband and I current residence?
Answer: You will need to provide US address where you currently residing.
    Form I-130A

Answer: You can provide your husband permanent address where you also stay.
    Form I-485
    - Since we are doing an online Form I-130, do we just wait for the receipt confirmation and include this when we mail Form I-485?
Answer: Either way is better. Since you are going to file I-130 online, you will get receipt number very soon. So, you can wait and include the I-130 receipt details.
    All the best.
    Thanks

      Form I-130:
      1. Beneficiary Physical Address:
you are married, it is assumed that you plan to live with your husband. Its no longer his address only, this is now also your place of residence.

      Form I-130A
      1. Address History:
again, you are looking at this wrong. You are married, your permanent address is "now" where you reside with your husband.

The only time you need to mention any previous residence, is only when asked about places you previously lived. Everything else that has to do with current residence, has to fo with where currently reside - keep in mind you are married.

      Form I-485
      - Since we are doing an online Form I-130...?
I didn't do mine online, so I don't have an accurate response on this and I would prefer not to assume.
