Travel to Canada from USA while I485 Pending

Hi there,

My mother has a I485 filed, and biometrics done. Can she travel to Canada by road for few days to meet her sister and come back in 15 days ?

She also has I-131 filled in and acknowledged, but not approved yet.

Unless she has H1b/H4/L1/L2/K3/K4/V status right before she leaves, she will automatically abandon her I-485 by leaving the US while it is pending without an already-granted Advance Parole.

Hi Member,
In order to leave the country while I-485 is pending, applicant need to have Advance parole approved or needs to be on non-immigrant status.
