  • No updates 4 months after the interview

    Hi everyone,

I have had my marriage interview done in Aug and everything went fine in the interview. By the end of the interview, we were asked to sign the conditional green card form and we were told to expect mail from USCIS with 1-4 weeks.
It's been over 4 months now and we still didn't hear anything back. We filed an SR update on October and get a reply saying the case is being reviewed.
Our lawyer filed another SR on Dec. got the same reply again. Is that normal?
Is it too soon to ask our local congressperson to get involved?
I'm just worried that it's too soon to ask them to get involved now which might prevent me from asking them again in the future. Or can I ask now and again in the future if nothing happens?

    Thanks!

I think you should contact your state Senator or congressman. It’s never too soon to do that. I did and my case was updated within a week. Good luck
