  • Rescheduled Interview but received denial notice. Please help!

We rescheduled our interview on 7th December (original appointment on 13th December) because we were traveling overseas. The Case Status was updated and it still shows online that the interview was rescheduled on 8th December. As per the case status online, we were waiting for the notice in the mail which could take up to a month.

However, we received a denial notice instead that has given us 18 days to prove that I-485 is still pending otherwise she would lose her employment (currently working in Healthcare research) and she would have to leave the US within 33 days.

We live chat with an agent who couldn't understand the urgency of the situation. We were able to get them to submit an urgent request but that could still take a few days and we are so short on time. We called and tried to get Infopass but the agent on the phone said they can see that an urgent request has been put in and we should hear from them soon.

Besides emailing a form to our senator (Texas), is there anything else we can do to avoid my wife's loss of employment and removal proceedings?
