Biometrics for new-born

We are waiting for our Biometrics appointment as a part of our 485 application. We are also Canadian citizens and currently are in Canada. Our newborn was born last week and we are planning to add her to our application. I was curious if she needs a Biometrics as well? Does anyone know if children are exempt?

Children are exempt from biometrics at least until the age of 5. I believe they will need single finger biometrics after 5 years and ten printing only after the age of 10.
