Today my husband and I had our green card interview and only my husband got called back . I am the US citizen that petitioned for him. He needed an interpreter because he speaks Russian and we speak Russian at home. He said they asked him mostly the standard questions on the 1-485 form (previous work etc...) the IO asked him a coupe questions about when we got married but not much at all about our relationship. We both found it strange the IO did not call me into the interview at all. My husband was interviewed about 25 min. I know it may have taken longer than usual because he needed an translator, but I have many friends who have been through this process and I have yet to hear of only one spouse being called in. Is this the new normal? Our online account has not updated yet.
