Hi,
I lived in US for 11 years while waiting for my date to be current in EB2 and in 2019, as there was no visible movement in priority date, decided to immigrate to Australia. I was hoping to live here a few years until my son is in high school to graduate and return to US. But after I moved, the dates progressed faster than I expected and my date became current by end of last year. My company is willing to file to accept me back, but I'm in a dilemma. My son is starting grade 10 here now and I feel changing the country in this stage will adversely affect his high school education. At the same time, I don't want the abandon the GC application and want to return to US after he finishes year 12.
Is there any way for me to achieve this? Is there a way to request to delay the processing of GC? Also, if my company has to file to change AOS to consular processing, how long do we have?
