My PD is Dec 2012.
RD: December 11, 2020 EB-2 EB3 downgrade Nebraska
I have both EB3 and EB2 I140 approved with the same employer. As 485 was filed with EB-3 and currently my PD is current with EB-2. Per my attorney interfile is not automatic now and there is a requirement to file 485J to change the underlying petition to EB2 but per him, that introduces 180-day portability i.e. I can't switch jobs for 6 months after 485J is filed. Is this correct?
If it's correct, What would be the best way forward if I would like to switch jobs within 2-3 months from now?
Will I be able to use EB2 petition from my current employer if I switch jobs before filing 485J? If not, what would the new employer will need to file besides 485J, which I-140 this 485J would be connected to?
