Question is : their i94 is nearing expiry(March). Do we need to file extn?

New update: I-130 is being actively reviewed, after 8-9 months of no updates. Anyone else have activity in their application?

Guys... When you apply for GC for your parents, did you submit birth certificate or non availability certificate? If you don't have neither and they are born before 1970, can we just submit a self notorized affidavit stating the birth date and provide additional proof like school leaving certificate etc with the paperwork? We are unable to get both the birth certificate and the non availability certificate.
