Initial Interview

I just received a letter requesting me to appear for initial interview for my I-485 based on family relation. The petitioner is my son who is 23 years old. My priority date is Aug. 17th, 2010. Biometric was done on Sept 17th, 2010.Questions I have are:

1. Will the IO inform me of the decision of my I-485 application immediately after the interview or I will have to wait for the decision in the mail, assuming that all is well?
2. will I be receiving the decision on my I-131 soon?
3. If I receive approval of my I-131 before the interview, can I travel out of the US after my interview but before receiving the decision on my I-485?

Please assist in providing information on the above. Thank you.

Usually they let you know the same time, if not you may see the approval on their website the same evening. I would suggest to wait as once you get an approval, green card should follow in 30 days but usually takes 7 to 10 days.
