  • Confusion on 485 JIT for CSC

There has recently been some confusion on the 485
processing status for CSC. Till less than a month back,
they were showing a very recent date, but now they are
showing a date of Jan 98. What does it mean for
the status to go back in time ?

Can anyone please shed some light on this ?

    Thanks.

    JIt CSC

I got my 485 approved this week. ND 1/10/01, FP 3/16/01. Several friend of mine got it recently within 5 to 6 months. EB1.

      Re: JIt CSC

      Hi OPQCB,

My Immigration jargon is not fully developed yet. What
do "ND" and "FP" mean ?

Also, as I understand, being on EB1 only means that your
case would be filed for I-485 earlier. But when it gets
approved depends entirely on what was your priority
date (date of filing of LC). Is this correct ?

Since you were on EB1, your PD would be the 140 filing date.
      What was your PD ?

      Thanks.

        485

        Hi:
ND : notice date when you received the receipt from INS after filing 485.
        FP : fingerprint

my PD was current when I got my 140 approved

My feeeling and guess it that CSC is rushing on cleaning the backlog and try to work on my 485 in "real time" under a 6 months goal.

        Good luck to you

          Re: 485

          Hello OPQCB!

Is there any relation between the FP date and the approval date? Or is it all dependant on the ND?

Your ND is January beginning, and you got approval only this week. However, I have been following the Ciba site, and in that some people with their ND in February seem to have got approval at least a fortnight back. It seemed that till about a month back, things were being processed with 4 months and now it seems to be taking longer...

            Hi anewlife,

What is the "ciba" site ? Could you please send a pointer ?

            Thanks.
