Hi -
I am preparing my paper work for an I-485 application and discovered that my birth certificate has most of the information correct (my name, birth date etc.) however my parents names are spelt incorrectly (missing a letter, additional letter in another place) but the names are not drastically different from what I have on my passport. In this case - can I write up a self affidavit with my passport copy as proof clarifying the names even though spelt incorrectly are actually close to the original names in the passport. Anyone run into a similar issue and what would be advisable in this situation?
Thanks!
