Hello everyone,
I will give you a brief overview of how fast things can happen if you do things right.
We got married Dec 7th,2009; Applied for AOS end of July,2010;
Biometrics beginning of August; Travel doc and EAD approved;
Interview Sept 15th - approved, permanent resident card in mail 2 weeks later.
To summarize, from applying at the end of July, 2010 to getting the card at the end of September,2010.
I believe that if you follow things correctly and give the immigration exactly what they need (you can never have too much evidence that it is a real marriage) - things will happen fast.
Now my question, my husband received a call a day after I received my card, and the person presented herself as someone calling from USCIS, and confirmed my husband's name and phone number, and that was all.
He didn't ask her why she is calling, so I am really puzzled what this is all about.
