Am I being paranoid?

Filed an adjustment of status back in April 2021. Things are slow as usual but at least every is progressing. Back in December I got the old RFE because they wanted another sponsor as I did not make enough which we went in. The day they received it they put it in their system. At the end of February of this year we got another RFE for medical which they wanted turned in by May 8th. This was exciting as it was our last step before the green card interview. We had to wait a few weeks for an appointment to get everything done but 2.5 weeks ago it was finished and I mailed it in priority mail with tracking. I can easily see it was received by the Orlando office but in 2.5 weeks nothing has been put in the system as received which is freaking me out now. I cannot go down there to talk to them as they do not allow it. I cannot call as they refuse to take them. Is this normal and should I just relax or do you think they lost it which is not a huge surprise? Thanks.

Hi, lots of time they would not update the status after medical RFE was received. I know a few folks (including myself) whose status never changed as Medical RFE received but got the GC approved directly. (Around Sep / October timeframe last year. No interview in my case as it is employment based.)

You can try pinging using their online chat service Ask Emma. It might be a little difficult to connect to a live agent, but it works sometimes and they might be able to check and tell if the RFE was received and added to your case.

I just got a notice online that my card i.e. my wife's new card is being ordered. Does this mean they skipped our marriage interview and sent out the green card? We have been married 25 years with a 24 and 21 year old so maybe they figured this was obviously a real marriage lol. My wife said if it is she can finally get a divorce lol.

Usually when they send the RFE for medicals and ask for sending it (not bring it to the interview), means that they will not do an interview. In short, yes, they skipped the interview. Congrats.
