Advance Parole filing at a later date than I485

Has anyone filed advance parole i131 at a later time, after filing i485? Do we still have to pay a fee if filed at a later date? (I understand we don’t pay the fees if filed together at the time of i485 filing but have a family wedding that I can’t miss while i485 will be pending, trying to see if AP can be filed separately after the wedding trip)
