I-693 Deficiency Notice 20 days after Interfiling

I had interfiled I-693 for my parents (Age 80 and 75) on 04/07/2022 and followed the sample cover letter posted on a lawyer's website, providing the A number, DOB etc. and went a step further and even attached the copy of the biometric notice to the medical forms packet, since it had the barcode so they could scan and pull up my parents file easily.

Yesterday, when I checked the status online, it had the I-693 Deficiency notice, dated 04/27/2022, posted under documents. I am a bit confused,if their I-693 was ever interfiled or not? I am going to wait to receive an RFE before I take any other action.

Did anyone else have this issue?

English is not my first language, I don't understand what you mean by 'interfiled'.
Did you send the I-693 directly to USCIS on its own? (not in the same package as the I-485 and other forms, nor because you received an RFE)
From what I read USCIS only recommends sending the I-693:
1- with the I-485
2- on its own if an RFE is received
3- bring it to the interview if a letter stating that is received

I concur with Enub4. Filing the medicals on it's own and not in any of the 3 circumstances Enub4 highlighted above is hit or miss. You might have to send the medicals again once you receive the RFE on hand.
