  • New member post looking for (paid) help

    Hi everyone,

I'm getting close to what I think is the end of my I-485 package application (spouse), but I keep finding new information on these forums and elsewhere that we might not have enough evidence for a bona fide marriage. We pretty much don't have any financial ties evidence (e.g. no joint bank account, no living will etc.), as we've only been married a few months. We have a joint lease, joint utilities and joint car insurance.
Should we add each other to our bank accounts before we send off the initial application?
I am on F1 OPT and will not be legally able to work in a month.

Last question: Is there someone experienced on here who I can pay small amounts to be able to answer all my questions (relatively quickly) before I send off the package?

    Thank you in advance,

    Florence

US immigration is looking for continuations when trying to prove legitimate marriage. just because you are only married for few months does not mean you only have to submit evidence from that time on. Presumably you dated, got engaged then got married. In addition getting "living will" or joint bank account these days take hours , not even a day. Financial commingling in my opinion is important and may be most looked at, even if you don't have joint bank account you should find a way to proof how you share bills and so. There is plenty of info here, look under stickies and take notes from there.
Focus on photos together during holidays, anniversaries , birthdays and so with family and friends
Joint memberships-gym, costco, aarp, AAA, there is some you can get for minutes
add each other as authorized users on credit cards
show receipts for rings or wedding related expenses
show cards from friends and relatives you received for engagement or wedding
if you have health insurances add each other,
add each other names in utility bills if possible
show inform delivery daily digest screenshots
Many Many ways and all info is here you just need to read tru it.
    Good luck

Thank you so much! Yes the stickies have been very helpful.
USPS informed delivery is a great idea thank you.

All these documents and photos must be included in the initial package or at the interview?

Many people include the evidence with the initial package and add more at the interview (all evidence sent with the package and newer evidence/more recent evidence)
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021
