Verbal approval at interview

Okay so I had my interview Thursday, 5/5/22. All went well and at the end the office told us he was going to approve the application.

He just needed to have the contractors scan in my additional documents / medical exam and said it should be that same day, if not Friday.

It’s been almost two weeks and I haven’t heard anything.

Should I be concerned? I’ve looked at other cases on case tracker and see no 485’s around mine have been approved either.

I have read many reports like yours. Officer says that and then takes weeks/months for the approval. Hope you get the GC soon.

Hi Cfuru, we have a similar situation. Our interview happened on April 04 and it went really well; at the end of it the officer said she will recommend our case for approval and even said "Congratulations", but her supervisor had to validate everything because she was fairly new (yay, such luck!).
We did bring a 2022 i-693 form, which she said it's complete and doesn't need anything.
The i-130 was approved 2 weeks later but nothing on the i-485. Case status online still shows "Interview was scheduled". We weren't given any papers at the end of the interview.
