My employer filed my I-485 with EB3 with a priority date of January 2015. Since then, I have with the same employer and have gone through several promotions, and recently I relocated to a different state while staying at the same employer. Since the relocation, my employer has filed a new I-140 with EB2 with the new location and has retained the previous priority date (Jan 2015).
Once the I-140 for EB2 has been filed, I would like to see if my attorneys can interfile the I-1485 from old EB3 (with old location) to the new EB2. Would the change in location prevent me from interfiling? Am I stuck with the I-485 with EB3 with no way moving to EB2 with the previous PD?
