My questions concern the new changes that THE INFLATION REDUCTION ACT OF 2022 puts forward for Adjustment of Status. I understand that these changes are very new and people need time to digest them, but I would be happy to hear your opinions or advice. I love to think and plan ahead.

I. FACTS OF THE CASE
- I am the beneficiary of an approved Form I-130 Petition for Alien Relative, as follows:
- Preference category: F4
- Priority date: 27 JAN 2011
- USCIS approval date: 28 JAN 2014
- Yesterday, the US Senate passed THE INFLATION REDUCTION ACT OF 2022 [1].
- The House vote on this bill is scheduled on 12 August 2022, which will most certainly pass the bill.
- Subtitle A of Title VI of the Bill amends the Immigration and Nationality Act.
- With regards to my case, section SEC. 60003 amends Section 245 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1255) and introduces the conditions for Adjustment of Status.
- I believe that my case falls under (n)(2) of the Exemptions of the visa availability, as follows:
- I am the beneficiary of an approved petition under subparagraph (A)(i) of section 204(a)(1)
- My petition bears a priority date that is more than 3 years
- I am willing to submit a request for adjustment of status, pay the supplemental fee of $2,500, and meet any other requirements.
- How do I obtain a visa to be able to enter the US?
- What visa should I obtain to be able to enter the US?
- Do I tell the local Embassy about my intentions of adjusting my status?
- How realistic is it that the Embassy will issue me a visa?
