  • Forgot to include Passport-style Photos in package

My wife and I are resubmitting her I-485 after the previous one was denied due to the co-sponsor not meeting the financial requirement.

Yesterday I finish compiling a new I-485 package, including the filing fee, and everything needed. After I got back home I realized the Passport-style Photos of us were left on the table.

Should I send those separately and just include a note referencing her A-number and what had happened? I'm not sure how vital these passport style photographs are but I don't want anything to be messed up. I only sent the package yesterday so if I send the photos today they should arrive within a day or two of each other.

Just hoping for some quick advice, thank you!

Sorry to hear about the mixup. I believe you should wait until you receive an RFE (Request for Evidence) that asks you to submit the missing photos. If you send it now they won't have a way to effectively route your photos to your application.

I totally agree with the comment above because I have the same issue. If you have forgotten to include passport-style photos in your I-485 package, it's important to rectify the situation as soon as possible. I can describe to you the steps you can make to resolve it: Contact USCIS: Consider reaching out to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to inform them about the situation and seek guidance on how to proceed; Send the photos separately: If USCIS advises you to send the photos separately, it would be a good idea to include a note referencing your wife's A-number and explaining the situation. This can help ensure that the photos are properly associated with your application. Lastly, don't forget about how your photos should look, https://photogov.com/ will help you get them according to the law.
