Expedited 485 - case stuck in NBC

Here's my timeline so far:

- PD: Aug 14 2014

- downgraded from EB2 to EB 3 in Oct 2020

- fingerprints in April 2021

- Received EAD in May 2022

- 485j and was received by USCIS on July 15, 2022

- put in a request to expedite 485 on aug 15, 2022

- aug 16 online status changed to Expedite Request Received




I called USCIS customer service on Aug 19. They said that my application is still in NBC while as my wife's application who is the dependent in my application has been sent to FO. So the expedite request seems to be infact slowing things down.




Anybody else been in this situation or have heard of similar cases?
