I-485, time to get notice of action

my priority date is 11 April 10, for F2A, I had mailed the document to chicago locbox on tracking no shows that recieved on 1 Nov. 10. But I had not get any proof for process is strated. How long its going to take time for generating the notice of action for docuemtns to be in process. How i can get this details.

About 5 to 7 business days. If you send a payment, check if your checks have cleared,

the payment was by money order. so, whts other way to check.

Congrats! Now you can go to the USCIS website and register your case to get online updates using you application numbers.

Excellent, don't wait for the appointment and just do a walk-in. If they ask you that you have an appointment, just hand them the appointment letter.

help in AOS/Police record..

Hi,
If a beneficiary spouse is already in USA under f1 student visa & her Immigration i 130 get approved + priority date becomes current,then does she has to go with counselor process in her home country (in our case ,India) or she can apply for AOS ,I 485 without leaving USA ??

Also,IF she can adjust her status within USA then does she need a Police clearance certificate from her Home town in INDIA where she spent more then 20 yrs?
or no certificate required as she is in USA for almost 3 yrs now.

Any help is really appreciated, as we are really confuse whether to book air ticket to India right now & get ready to fly or wait for actual correspondence from NVC & then take further step....
So plz someone help me ..or guide me in this situation.

My case is also for F2a category.
so when you started doing for AOS,485??once your case get approved or you receive some kind of information from NVC & then started the work?Do we need to go out from USA for Adjust the status or we can apply within the usa??
What about police record??in my case home town is Ahmedabad.So had you got a police certificate from there or no record is needed as my spouse is in us for 3 yrs with no criminal records...

Hello! I'm new to this forum and I would appreciate if someone could answer these questions. My wife sponsored me as her dependent and my priority date is current basing on the December visa bulletin(my priority date is Aug.01,2010).
I am currently in the US on a tourist visa and my I94 will expire on Jan. We're still waiting for the approval of our I 130. My question is these: should I apply for an extension of stay? do I have to wait for the approval of my I 130 before I apply for adjustment of status?

if your priority date is current and you I-130 is pending and your visa is going to expired. Go ahead and file for Adjustment of status(I-485), dont wait until approval of I-130.once you will got file no of (I-485) and if your visa will expreid. then also there will be no problem.

my priortiy date is current in Nov. So sended the pakage on 28-oct and I got finger print appoinment of 12/06/10.

You dont need to wait to heard from NVC. once your priorty date is current, you can apply Adjustment of status(i-485).

I had not included any police record. and its not needed.
