Please Help adjusting status Question

Hello everyone my name is emmanuel i am from Dominican Republic, almost a year ago i got married with my wife, we have baby boy she is a US permanent resident, we already filled out a I-130 and it already approved i came with a B2 (Tourist Visa), now we are collecting the paperwork for the adjustment of status i will like to know how long does it take to be approved and be able to work legally in this country? i am very confuse the case was submitted on january 7 2010 and it was approved on september 22 2010 please somebody help me out with this. If you are here in US, and have an I-130 approved, you need to file an I-485.

You can file for adjustment as an F2A spouse of an LPR IF you are currently in a valid nonimmigrant status only.
