Enroll Citizenship after Family I-130 Approved and documents submitted to NVC.

Hi,

I am green card holder and wife. daughter(3yr old) live in India waiting to get Greencard. Their i-130 recently approved after 2.5yrs. Submitted documents to NVC with 864/DS160 forms. My Citizenship interview is scheduled but my attorney is advising to avoid it until their applications are processed.
Question: Is it good to wait to get citizenship or attend the interview.
Do their applications gets cancelled and have to reapply.

Did you file separate I-130s for your wife and children? Or did you just file one I-130 for your wife?
