AOS with family based GC while on L1B


I am currently on L1B valid for 2 years. I can get further extension for 2 years.
My brother is a US citizen. Is it a good idea to apply for AOS with family based GC while I am currently on L1B and may further require extension after 2 years.

It takes at least 15 years to get a Green Card based on brothers/sisters that are US Citizens, some countries even take 22 years.

The AOS can't start until a few months before a Green Card is available for you. In other words, you will not be able to stay in the USA only on this.

I don't know if you can keep the L1B for 15-22 years or change to another visa for you to stay in the USA.
